Contractor: Expert Basement Repair
Engineer: N/A

Structure: Residential Brick Foundation
Material Used: Fortress Carbon Kevlar Grid Straps

Project Scope: Lead paint was ground off with Hepa filtration grinding system. A second Hepa filtration vacuum was running to eliminate any escaped dust. Wall was ground flush for Fortress installation. Back wall; had to be re-tuckpointed and then parge coated with hydraulic cement.

There are a few challenges with brick foundations. You have old paint and/or fired clay blush to remove.

Once the paint and/or fired clay blush was removed, all mortar joints were leveled off at strap install locations with hydraulic cement. This prevented throwing too much dust and shortened grinding/prep time.
