Teatro-Verde historical building

The publically visible surface of older historic buildings needs to be preserved often in cases where the building structure cannot be repaired.

The façade of building was desired to be preserved, while structure / building was in need of replacement. Carbon fiber was used to hold façade together as existing structure was removed. After new structure was completed the façade was moved into place to meet building.

Material Used: Fortec 600gsm Unidirectional Carbon Fabric w/1276 epoxy resin

The carbon fiber allowed for the removal of building without experiencing any major cracking of façade, thus preserving the historical value of the façade.
