This technique works very well allowing Carbon Kevlar straps to
transfer load. If needed the contractor could also use cap blocks across entire wall
if desired for aesthetics.

12 inch Masonry wall with reverse brick ledge was in need of
reinforcement. Problem being that the Carbon Kevlar could not transfer load back
up to structure.

Contractor used 4” cap blocks to level reverse brick ledge even with
foundation wall in order to keep carbon fiber in tension.

Conclusion: This technique works very well allowing Carbon Kevlar straps to
transfer load. If needed the contractor could also use cap blocks across entire wall
if desired for aesthetics.
