New construction slab flooring developed large crack.

Probably the biggest source of cracks in concrete floors comes from improperly compacted soil beneath the concrete. If the soil is not compacted sufficiently, the concrete floor will settle in the areas that are less compacted and cause the concrete to crack in these areas.

New construction slab flooring developed large crack. This was possibly due to new soil compressing around plumbing lines.
