Stabilizing Glazed Tile Foundation Walls with Fortress InvisiBeam® Straps

The Challenge

A glazed tile foundation wall was experiencing horizontal cracking and structural instability. The uneven glazed tile surface required extensive preparation to ensure proper bonding of the reinforcement system.

The Solution

Contractors performed extensive grinding to level the glazed tile surface, using an additional HEPA vacuum to control dust during preparation. Due to significant stabilization concerns, InvisiBeam® straps were installed tightly at 32 inches on center for maximum support. To address the large window span, horizontal straps were installed to transfer loads to vertical straps placed on each side of the window opening.

The Outcome

The glazed tile foundation wall was successfully stabilized with InvisiBeam® carbon fiber/Kevlar® straps, restoring its structural integrity. Extra epoxy was applied to smooth out the grinded areas, leaving a clean, paint-ready finish upon completion.
